@zlover7777 Just a datapoint, according to people that code the gearbox software, My BMW 335d with a "modern" ZF torque converter automatic is about 9,5% drivetrain loss. Old truths have changed a bit in recent years. Cheers mate.

@papa_pt "psychos" ? A bit harsh if serious when thats the way all of europe does it...

@papa_pt Not literally all, but effectively. Over 95% in my estimation.

@zlover7777 Even a torque converter automatic isnt close to those numbers these days... its more like 10%. Yes, really. But this is a manual gearbox with robotic control. So its got the same losses as a manual. Below 10% for sure.

You only get confused if you dont know how dyno runs in europe are done. I would suggest its up to the watcher to educate themselves in this case, most euro watchers know the standard already.

@papa_pt Sure, that 90% may well be true, but thats because they are most often made in the US, where RWHP is the norm.

Your conclusion seem to be flawed... no evidence for numbers to be higher because of those factors you mention.

@frozenhellcat You are correct in that they read wheel horsepower. What you are incorrect in, is the correction factor which is different for every dyno manufacturer and also customizable by the dyno operator. As good as every dyno in europe outputs data in the form of corrected crank horsepower numbers, these numbers in this video are no different. There are also different ways to dyno cars, with sweeps of varying lengths and steady state. Hence, one cant say if the "real" power is more or less. Its, presumably, the best guess of the dyno owner. And the power itself varies as I described above.
