I see your point, but are they really worth less than a ICE sibling/competitor after 5 years? Not what I have seen... if so, all 5 year old cars are virtually scrap in your estimation? To each their own, but I am not sure the point is served by exaggerations in this case. Seen this point multiple times before, and I think some people genuinly believe it, even if your comment was just for comedic effect.
