@Pamani_ You were so close man.... Torque is even more useless than you think, it doesnt even say anything about how wide the power band is either.

@angelgjr1999 Yep. as an example, a high spec cordless drill gives as much torque as a high spec 200hp sportsbike. Rip the engine out of the motorcycle and put the drill in instead (identical torque, right?), and see how fast the motorcycle does anything. Hint: Not very.

@Barberdan Its a myth as old as cars itself, maybe older. And since people still parrot it all the time, including those that really should know better such as car journalists and reviewers in magazines, on tv and on youtube, it probably isnt going away anytime soon.
