  2. I think the engine of the gsxr 1000 up to 2006 or maybe even 2008 sort of fits in the SRAD. Have to modify one of the engine mounts only, as far as I recall. Maybe that will give you what you want. And then you can put a turbo on it easily enough, 350 hp ought to do it for you if you like a sleeper?

  3. First and second year gsxr 750 SRAD:s are pretty cool with their stupid lack of midrange making them feel like 2 strokes. The 600 was even worse, I had one. Its not fast, but ride it like a 125cc dirtbike and it makes sense.

  4. Nah, they didnt, unfortunately. It was 175 crank hp. Pure mechanical grip and chassis confidence won this match. As it most often does. Building a good chassis was pretty well understood 25 years ago for street bikes, a 1996 gsxr 750 in good condition on the same rubber wouldnt be that much slower.

  6. Yep but gsxr:s has had FI since 1998. Ducati top sportsbikes has had it since.. 1994 I think. Maybe even longer. Time flies, huh?
