@Achonas I would say its been common enough for 60 years in some circles. But its gradually expanded every year and now its reaching mainstream exposure, yes.

@Achonas Indeed. One can trace the roots to the 1800s, heck in some ways some of the french revolution philosophy can be said to be a direct ancestor. But the "60‐odd years ago" of my post is when what is pretty similar to its modern incarnation became de rigeur at quite a few high profile universities and similar, etc. Cheers.
