I dont need nor want an Iphone. But 800 bucks isnt much these days. And look up how much top of the line phones were ages ago, when all they could do was call ans send sms. A Nokia 8850/8890 was 1000+ dollars, 25 years ago already. And earlier than that they were even more expensive. Nokia communicator "smartphone" from the 90s etc

@CMDRRanaeGato Of course you do, but I am saying its not really possible to totally divorce the construction from the marketing etc. My point being, that in the end a product is worth exactly what the market will pay, no more, no less. The customers seemingly value the Apple phones and its contents by about the MSRP. Good for them, I wouldnt buy one.
