Bad surface, among other things.

@pearlvision7156 It was always going to be like this, so just as expected. RWD + Bad surface = physics dictate the result. So not a surprise at all if one knows the car specifications.

@larryc1616 Dont think its availible yet anyway?

Par for the course for motorcycles, its the case for every one out there ridden by normal riders. So it was just as expected.

@XNazgulXX Not much, results wise. The bumps and low traction surface of this runway kills rwd cars.

Egg is primarily a high speed track platform, where rear traction isnt as limiting/important. Drag racing etc never entered their mind when they built it.

Agree.

Its pretty expected, physics dictate there is only so much that can be done. Any old Ford focus would be similar.

@RebelsInc969 Not a shock at all, its just as expected with RWD on this surface. I guess surprised people dont know all that much about drag racing cars, which is fair enough I guess.

@edtheduck6219 In comparison to many others in these comments, you make reasonable points. However, where it falls down a bit is the all too common "get x for less" fallacy, i.e. "I can get 100 old fiestas for a Ferrari, you can still only go the speed limit" No one buying one of these are hurting for money an already got all the houses and other cars they want, or could if they wished. Any value proposition like you put forward is therefore irrelevant to them. They already got the Veyron, estate and Gt2 in every color...

@pearlvision7156 At lower speeds, yes thats indeed the case. They didnt put much thought to low speed acceleration being the best when they designed them.
1
@pearlvision7156 No, the performance is why its well regarded actually, and can command those prices. Historically, no other cars had the high speed acceleration of the koenigsegg, this is no exception. Very similar in concept to the classic Mclaren F1 etc. Low speed acceleration wasnt of interest to hypercar makers until recently. A remapped Golf R will beat a Ferrari F40 0-60 for example.

Traction control really dislike this very low grip bumpy surface, thats why. So its not bogging per se, its cutting power back and forth like crazy.
