Plaid Model S is so much faster its not even funny. Even A plaid Model X would beat it senseless... also more than a second difference for that one..

@jabariphillips8855 Well, I was including the 12.5 time the OP specifically mentioned in that, and thats about inline for a nice sportscar of a decade or so ago, like a corvette. That was my reference for what most ordinary people would consider "very fast". I think you may have misread my post as sarcastic. It wasnt. Cheers.

@Classy_Chris Teslas powertain still leads the pack vs the same year other cars... same cant be said in all aspects of them sadly.

Model X should have been way faster in this test, something was up with it.

To be fair, the model X in this race shoudl be close to first if it worked as it should. Not too bad for an older larger car than the audi.

@UProductions457 One of Lucids problem is relly mass producing cars.. its not as easy as people think. Even car manufacturers that has done it for much more than 100 years get it spectacularly wrong in some years with some models. Also, with the New Lucid triple motor, I was starting to ask how much speed the normal person that drive an EV really need. Cant be all that many as a percentage taking their car to the drag strip often. Its cool and all and I am as big of a speed freak as they come, but most people aint. In normal traffic, I would think few people would ever use more power than something like this Model 3 can give you. Its after all as fast as most high end sportscars from not all that many years ago... I think almost everyone would be satisfied with something like the Audi in this offers (11 seconds flat quarter mile).

@swishyfeet Audi is as fast or a bit faster, but it certainly wouldnt have been far behind if all was A-ok, yes.

@wsu8568 Uh, dont know about the RHD one, but the LHD ones has been availible to order since the Model X launch in late 2015.

@lukabosnjak3829 Indeed you are correct, but there has also been a few generations drivetrains (and different battery chemistry) before of Model X and S which all differs slightly in speed. This should be the 11.2 one though, yes. Something was wrong with it.
