@henryatkinson1479 There seems to be a misunderstanding, thats exactly what I said. If one person has enabled the function, it will be on until someone disables it. Doesnt have to be currently active. i.e. the car currently in a fixed speed. Unless there are market/model year differences I dont know about, you can even shut the engine off in between. But perhaps it is me who misunderstand why you where asking, but in that case I wonder why you asked why the light was on, when you know it is always on once enabled and made active until someone deliberately shuts it off? Why would you shut it off? Unless for some reason like I described in my previous post? Not that it matters much, just a bit curious as to why.

Crusie control light is lit up on many cars when the function is "enabled", doesnt have to be currently active. Dont know why there is a disable/enable button to begin with though, maybe for safety in case you borrow your car to someone else who might pull the wrong lever, making it active and panic? Like the people you see on surveillance cams plowing into shopping mall windows having pressed the wrong pedal?
