AWD really earned its keep on this stage compared to the 2WD cars... just no comparison in these conditions. I often go on similar roads in my work van... yeah its treacherous as all heck. The corner the BMW E36 got stuck in, I wouldnt dare with the van, it would get stuck for sure with its FWD, its also got lower grip than a normal car to start with.

  3. I am sure a very large percentage (90+%) dont, and probably a fair few dont use it on manuals either. They call it the "Emergency brake" which I am sure doesnt help the general public to understand its usage any better.

  5.  @mistycrom  If it is a Galant, its using a Lancer bodyshell. Look a bit closer and you will see, there is no mistaking it, the front indicator shape gives it away directly, naming one thing thats easy to spot in the video. Anyway, even if it it uses a Galant drivetrain it has to be said to be a Lancer anyway, considering its a unibody car. That means the bodyshell denotes car model. Similar to how the well known Ford Escort cosworth is still an Escort, even though it uses Sierra underpinnings and drivetrain.
