  2. I think most european countries have several classes you can register the ATV/ four wheeler in (most often, the dealership/importer chooses which one), I would think portugal has the same? If that is so, the 40km/h is probably the "agricultural tractor" type of registration/classification, but there should be others as well.

  3.  @LagartoPT  Many places you register them as a "quadricycle", aka a four wheeled motorcycle. Exactly the same regulations then apply as it would for a normal two wheeled motorcycle with the same Cc engine. You can also, if they got engines below 50cc, register them as mopeds. Again, I dont know about portugal specifically, but these are common practice in many/most EU countries. Cheers mate.
