  1. Not hundred percent true unfortunately. I used the toll road in France one time, they couldnt accept my card which led to a quite amusing story of how I caused a queue on the road with lots of cars stuck behind me (you pay as you exit, not enter) and a very heated discussion with a french lady via some telephone system in the toll booth.

  2. I can spot that a person is an American tourist from as far away as my eyes can see, something about the way they walk and the style of their clothes I guess. Also, here in northern europe, we are quiet and anti-social compared to the average American. Conversly, we often find them to be very loud! One of those differences that spices up things I guess.
