  1. Almost right, the most well known brands are French and Italian. such as the two brands featured here. Chinese brands are not very well known.

  2.  @henrischutte1968  It somewhat used to be that way even in Sweden long ago, but then they got more common , which tipped the point of it not being uncool towards it being cool. Also, since they are often very expensive, having a new one is/was a status symbol. 20k+ Eur is nothing to sneeze at when buying what amounts to a "toy car" for your teens for most people. If there is one thing teenagers know, its what is expensive or not, and the more expensive, the cooler.

  3. Most of these cars can easily be unlocked/tuned to almost 70 km/h real speed, not just "optimistic speedometer-speed"

  4. CVT diesel. People use them every day, Nothing strange about maintenance. 45km/h is max legal speed, but they often both got optimistic speedometer, and they can be "tuned/de-restricted for upwards of 70km/h top speed.

  6.  @HenryLoenwind  Yes I know, I was thinking of the Vehicle specifications/regulations more specifically, not the license part. I should have clarified it a bit more, but I was too lazy to write more than what I did. But thanks for setting the record straight for anyone reading, so they dont get the wrong impression. 👍

  7. They actually are automatic, they use a CVT, i.e. infinite gear ratios in a set interval.
