  2. Corvette driving dude might want to look into how the torque number in isolation (as stamped on the plate under the hood) affects the acceleration. It seems like he think it does. But it actually does not, thats just a common myth. Funnily enough, its just about the same as the compression ratio stamped on the same plate; in isolation with just the numbers, it gives no info about the acceleration of the car at all.
