  1. Its quite possible, its a simple fact of power vs drag after all, and 750hp is enough for 400km/h if the car doesnt have too much drag. But as most concept/low production cars with a stated top speed, it surely was never tested in the real world.

  3. The whole point of the Vector W8 was that it had more power than any other supercar at the time, from a relatively cheap "mass produced" good old american push rod V8. More speed for the dollar compared to european supercars was the selling point. With that M12 version, they put a lower power engine, that presumably was quite expensive, into a car with almost zero brand recognition compared to the lamborghini it shared its engine with. The idea is so strange from a marketing perspective and obviously so, it must have been concieved as some kind of scam?

  4. Sidenote: As far as I have heard, the Nissan R390s engine is the basis of what powers ALL modern V8 Mclarens. Mclaren bought the blueprints.
