  2.  @alekvassinskiy1286  Hate to say it but he usually doesnt. I like him, but he doesnt do all that much research into the cars he reviews. There are tons of similar quirks he has missed over the years. Still one of the best for showing unusual stuff though.

  6. They probably are better function wise than most others, since you can use them without letting go of the steering wheel, and have a firm grip of the door even when opening it. Shame it didnt catch on. Sometimes people are just a bit to conservative.

  11. Body roll is overrated as a "grip diminisher". It has a very small effect for most cars. Its mostly just psychological. So yeah.

  13. The suspension is reliable enough, its problems are vastly overstated. C5 mk 3 is one of the most reliable cars in its markets according to statistics.

  36.  @woooozaaa6528  You are correct in what you said about Doug, but Diesel? Surely this is the Gas powered one, known as the "GTI"? So I think in this case you are barking a bit up the wrong tree...

  37.  @woooozaaa6528  It goes "warning" red at 5000, and goes full red at 5500, not really uncommon at all for an 8 valve 2.5 liter 4 cylinder at the time. I can see why you would think it sounds like a diesel, but I think that is just a function of the exhaust. Finally, you can get a very good look at the engine in this video, and it is for sure the gas powered "GTI" one, (google) search for pictures of the diesel and gas engine, and it is obvious this is the gas one, they look very different. No hard feelings, just a heads up nobody is perfect all the time.

  39. There is a promotional video from the time of it on youtube where it is doing honest to goodness rock-crawling. And Doug was wrong, its ground clearance is not as good as, it is way more than most SUV "soft roaders" these days. It is awesome. I had a C5 mk 2 and though it did not have this range in the suspension, it was awesome as well.
