  2. They do work when new. But they get worn down over time and stop working. Probably yours have way more milage than this one? The ones in mine work fine.

  4. Torque is a function of displacement in an NA engine, no way around that so I guess the G37 would have about the same then? Nothing strange about it.

Yeah, but number of cylinders dont really contribute to torque. 4 liter vs 3,7 is about 8 percent more and 295 vs 270 is 9 percent more, so a measly 1% of difference not explained by displacement. The difference between one engine to the next on the factory line has to be more than that. Nowadays of course, almost all cars has forced induction, which makes this discussion relevant mostly to older cars. My car has about 600 lb ft, but it drops considerably as most turbo cars do, and the max hp is already at a measly 4000 rpm or so, making it about 350-360hp.

  8. Maybe, but then it is kind of ridiculous, how much does the mechanism weigh, 2 lbs at the most? Who cares in a sporty GT car, its not an ariel atom. We are getting dangerously close to Porsche levels of poseur weight savings then….

  9. 335i N54 manual my man. You can put the m3 suspension bits on it if you want. Or if you really wanna be cool, 335d. Fuel economy of a 4 cylinder, torque of a truck.

  10. I feel leather is functionally crap compared to almost anything else. The fascination with leather seems mostly contained to english speaking countries, I guess its a relic of old times when it was an expensive upscale option so a lot of people feel they have to have it or they will look poor.

  11.  @iHaveTheDocuments  Yes, I had to search for quite some time to find mine with the alcantara seats, but the difference is real on track. Never again leather for me in a "sporty" car.
