  1. I think the "Altezza lights" fad predates the altezza by quite some time, and was popularized by other vehicles, not the altezza itself. Perhaps most famously, the mk4 supra also got them, way before the altezza was out. Conclusion: Calling them "Altezza lights" was just something that caught on, probably because the Lexus IS was a popular car with people that like to style their ride.
