  1. I am guessing because of the "Glass" then having to be tested and certified to (expensive) lightning regulations, something they probably didnt wish to pay for with a production run of 50 cars. Most low volume cars use lights from other cars, like the famous Nissan 300ZX headlights on the Lamborghini Diablo for example.
