@allangibson2408 you're right on the money here old boy, even if technically it only entered squadron service in Jan 1951 (what sort of a pillock argues the toss over a month!) You could even argue it was a 40's plane, and was only done away with when there were suitable replacements in its role, see also , Shackleton, Vulcan, B-52, F-4, Buccaneer and so on, where with avionics and weaponry updates they could still fit their design role nicely, or take on new roles like laser designation in Gulf War II etc. I think it might be truer to say that the cutting edge tech in each decade raced away from the last, but some good solid designs trundled along just nicely thank you :-)

@johnladuke6475 I can send you a picture of my paper dictionary if you wish, it's the one I tend to use, but if you want to mention Google, here are the Google synonyms for conflate: meld, fuse, amalgamate, unify, consolidate, converge, unite, blend, coalesce, combine, commingle, network, mix, mingle, pool. Ive checked the next four hits and can't find the word confuse in any of them.
Did you really mean to say communism inherently included communism by the way? I am sure you didn't.
The interesting thing again is that there is still discussion about Marx and his own spiritual beliefs, and indeed 'religion is the opiate of the people' has been interpreted in many ways, not just to say Marx was an atheist. Marxism-Leninism is a slightly different kettle of fish I'll grant you.
