Bloody hell just finished Matt's video and you pop up - will I never get to eat my dinner?

I am very dismayed by the so called comments section here. They are all informative, adult and also constructive when they are not totally complimentary. What sort of people are you?

As much as I love the main content, I love working out where your little funny clips come from too.

Bloody hell - would you have liked just half that haul yourself Ed when you were doing your thing?

NB the image of the flipped tank at 24:31 is of a Tiger II, and the chap next to it is Dwight Eisenhower - it's in the Wikipedia entry on the Tiger II. The location given is Chambois, which is 57km from the ocean, therefore this is probably not due to a warship's shell, and is most likely to be due to bombing. PS - the Oerlikon on the LVT4 is not historical, it would have been the similar Polsten cannon. Just servicing my inner nerd folks!

I signed up to HoWaW a long time ago. It's good to see how their channel is attracting more high quality You Tubers who can be watched in ad free freedom.

Watched and enjoyed this last night on HOWW with no crappy adverts to annoy me.

Aw come on Ed, I'll not get a pot washed today if you keep releasing stuff.

I am sold already. I suppose I am a revisionist and iconoclast by inclination. Good to see our British/English national myths put into context under the microscope with the benefit of hindsight. Lovely to get to hear from Paul - someone I think I might just be following from now on.

Great video - lots of good context and history. Poor buggers though... even if they were our enemy at the time.

Not much I can say that hasn't already appeared in the comments but will share on FB to try and get more interest in this horror story Ed.

No need to thank me, I thank you. I am sitting drinking Scotch (with a wee bit of water) and very grateful for the most objective and fun and friendly and informative firearms channel on YT. BOTR, C&R, Cap'n'Ball are all up with you in my top 5, so on pay day I am off to your Weapons and War channel ; I did the trial, and it's great. No adverts no filler.

I love Dinger's stuff - the drawings/paintings in particular. I finished a biography of Frank Whittle "Jet Man" last month, it's a decent read if you wish to know more, albeit I think it's rather gentle on Whittle and his way of working. Just my opinion of course!

The best summing up of the turret fighter I have seen for a long time... nicely balanced.

I want one. For the missus. It might stop her dropping her bloody phone for a start.

Great video - looking forward to the next one.

Ah the joys of German pronunciation! And his next fighter was a dinga it seems ;-)

Thanks

@MilitaryHistoryVisualized no, thank you! Have a great 2022 and beyond.

Oh so clever, you'd think you are an engineer. Oh, you are. Your analogue was very well done, it tempts me to ask you to progress this process with the question: what did they do to projectiles to try and counter this? Eg rounds that won't shatter and so forth, AP-C shells... I hope you managed to hoover up all the shrapnel in any case, it was fun watching you do what I did in the 80s with my BSA Airsporter in the name of science.

I'll watch this properly when my internet decides to work... subscribed as well, the Manchester/aeroplanes theme suits me, some of the radio stuff is more arcane but liked the one about the pylon up on Blackstone Edge/Windy Hill. There is of course a story behind this....

Thank you from England :-)

21st century LEO satellites - no one's concern, smile and move on. A balloon - Defcon 3, phone the president, and initiate Wing Attack Plan R. Great video Ed, but sadly this grabs the headlines while Burma burns. Keep putting it out there, there are a lot of sensible people following you.

Long live Ukraine! Donation made to the Ukraine Red Cross appeal

It is a good read..... and it matches the channel in quality.

Great video - and happy anniversary too!

@stevetournay6103 That would be awesome Steve; I saw Vera flying with our other Lanc when she visited maybe ten years ago. A vic of three - my knees might go a bit weak!

@EdNashsMilitaryMatters Just Jane is looked after by lincsaviation, plus a chap called Neville Wheeldon does an almost weekly YT vlog about the stages of her restoration. We were lucky enough to afford a taxy ride in her last month!

Ed, this is bad for me. I am getting behind on my YouTube viewing already then you do this..... the comments below assure me that it's worth subscribing though.

Fugly. Thanks for the mention Ed, I now consider myself famous.
