fleeing is the answer

trying to minimize covid deaths?

It's mainly housing costs. If you're a red state that doesn't want to be like cali and new york, make sure to build as much housing as possible
8
thats why congress needs to pass the end child poverty act
8
because they fled the housing costs not the policies

they will because they fled the housing costs not the policies

@Chalk89 Even if it did only take people with comorbidities, that still means it was very dangerous to a massive swath of the population, hence the million or so americans who died. Telling people to lay low for a while was the right move
1
@kennethalbert4653 Not sure what you're talking about but no rights were given up. Laying low during a deadly pandemic was the normal and sensible thing to do. There were dramatic people saying we'd never come out of lockdown again, so much for that

@darthbrooks4933 i'd consider it a big deal if something kills over a 1,000,000 americans

@hybrdthry911 It wouldn't be a kid they couldn't afford if congress passed the bill. I can tell by your disregard for child poverty that you're conservative, y'all need to make up your minds. Do you want to incentivize starting a family or not?
1
@silverwings21 We don't have socialism
1
@ickdon7999 How the hell is the federal reserve to blame? Y'all just say anything
1
@hybrdthry911 Then conservatives need to stop claiming to be pro family, or complaining about the fertility rate. Also, it wouldn't be "taxpayers" subsidizing it, it would be newly created money
1
@hybrdthry911 That isn't true, whether or not there is inflation does not depend on whether or not newly created money is used. It depends on the productive capacity of the economy. We spent trillions of newly created money in the 2010's with no excessive inflation. We do it all the time when paying for our massive military. I'm merely suggesting we invest in our children in that same way. It is anti family, because it makes starting a one more difficult, and it punishes children who were born into poverty. It's no use saying "you're parents shouldn't have had you" when the kid is already born. A child allowance would make childhood poverty and thing of the past and more than pay for itself in less crime and more productivity
