@shishoka They literally testified that they only gave trump the loans and favorable interest rates because of the bogus statements. Also this isn't simply a matter of differing valuations, Trump put things in his statements that were objectively false. He added many stories to the height of his buildings and added tens of thousands of sqaure feet to the land it was sitting on. And even if the banks don't care that much, a crime was still commited and the judge has an obligation to ensure the marketplace is fair. Just because these current lenders are satisfied, doesn't mean future lenders will be. If i get caught driving while drunk, i'll still face punishment even if i didn't crash

@thegreenwave6741 They testified that they only gave trump the loans and interest rates they did because of his bogus finantial statements, that's fraud. And even if they didn't, they don't need to feel victimized for a crime to have taken place
