@anotherthing There's no such thing as energy Independence when you rely on a global commodity like oil. What happens with OPEC and other countries will always affect us, whether we're producing all the oil we need or nor. Just because oil companies drill here, doesn't mean they have to sell here. They sell where they can make the most profit, and that's usually other countries. Even under trump when we were drilling all the oil we needed, we still had to import millions of barrels a day from other countries because our domestic oil was being sold abroad

@Sulucnumoh420 That isn't true at all, because once again your assuming the increased oil product here in the US is sold here, it's usually not. Opeca could always do things like this. And it's not just opec, any national event around the world that shifts global demand for oil will affect prices here

From saying he didn’t know about the hush payments to stormy Daniels, to claiming he got veterans choice passed, to saying he won the popular vote in 2016 to claiming the military had no bullets when he became president, to saying the national archives labeled the constitution dangerous, to saying he accomplished more in his first 2 years than any president in history, to claiming he signed the most legislation of any president in the first year of their presidency (he actually signed the fewest bills of any president in their first year since ww2) saying he had the largest inaugural audience ever, saying he gave the largest tax cut in history, saying he won Georgia by hundreds of thousands of votes (and don’t say but muh fraud) saying he was totally exonerated by the mueller report, saying he brought back big 10 football, saying he was named man of the year in Michigan etc

@Mhistler Warning people that they may find some things within the national archives disturbing (after all many bad things have happened in our nations history that are preserved there) is not at all the same as saying the constitution is dangerous. This is a flat out lie. Yes, we are on the non government side, which is why you shouldn't vote republican. They constantly promote austerity and "balancing the budget". They don't realize that cutting the government's deficit's pushes those deficits onto us in the non government sector. The government sector and the private sector can't both be in surplus, and unlike the government we on the private sector can't sustain deficits. So i can't vote for people constantly trying to push those deficits onto us

@ToneSherpa It's not the taxes stopping them selling here, the oil is worth more in other markets. I don't think they should be able to get away with it either, but trying to force them to sell here would just cause them to roll back production

@IAmTheRealBill im not making this a simply game of imports vs exports, you're the one giving export stats. I'm saying we will always be at the mercy of global demand patterns since oil is a global commodity. Prices will rise here if demand suddenly rises in China for example.
