  6.  @par3me  The two are not mutually exclusive lol, you can be both a constitutional republic and a democracy. They're not forced to go with anything, but if you're benefiting from union negotiated contracts, you should chip in

  7.  @TheSetherbee  If the union is not needed, you should be paying more to the union, not less. The union dues do not fully offset the wage gain they negotiated,. Go ahead and pay the rest and you'll be back to your non union salary

  8.  @TheSetherbee  you're not being forced to join a union, and you're not even technically paying dues, they'd just be collecting their money. For all intents and purposes, you'll be unaffiliated, making exactly what you'd be making toughing it out on your own
