EQ doesn't exist, nor is it the ability to read people, that in it self is an ability called just that and is not measurable. EQ doesn't exist, this is a scientific fact.

  4. @Keegan Markgraf No it isn't. You are just saying that is that because it kinda fits. But everyone can have their own definition of EQ because it has never been scientifically documented to exist. EQ is just what people want it to be to make themselves feel better about themselves. Deciphering and understanding emotions is just that, deciperhing and understanding emotions, has 0 to do with EQ.

  5.  @deek0146  It also isn't real. We actually have statistical techniques i.e. factor analysis that we can use to say whether something exists or not. IQ exists we know that for certain. How it works is a different story. But we know it exists for a fact. We used the same techniques, we never found EQ. EQ was just agreeableness on the big 5, which already exited for a decade, but was repackaged to EQ.
