  3. I think both mindset and the practical/scientific is important. A person that believes in himself or in specific theory is more likely to make scientific progress than a scientist that is always negative or gives up fast. It is just that people take it way out of proportion and turn it into woo-woo.

  4. I was wondering what was up with the apple stuff, I thought it was just an esthetic choice or something to represent some meaning. You got me with that one. About the Red car syndrome, you can also it for good. If you set a goal, you will see information about that goal much quicker, making your brain optimize for finding the path towards that goal. Note: not talking about law of attraction, just planning and goal setting.
