  1. Yes, but that is often due to nervousness since intelligent people have a highly sensitive nervous system, they often experience more nervousness than the average person. Stammering is a symptom/correlation not an effect of intelligence. Highly intelligent people are actually fluent when it comes to speaking, that is if they feel comfortable, while less intelligent people use a lot of "uhms" and generally it is sloppy.
