That would be fine, except I’m not willing to spend 30-40k USD on a grocery-getter. The wife has a beautiful 2000 Buick that gets about 5000 in-town miles a year, one oil change a year, I put brakes in it about eight years ago which are about half worn out. Last year I put a mass airflow sensor in it, and new wiper blades. Maintenance is horrible on those ICE cars !! I’d be weary of a used EV with the uncertainty of battery life, unless I could find a cherry 15 year-old Tesla (when the time comes) for a couple of grand that I would simply junk if the battery died.
