Republicans haven’t been this mad since LBJ signed the Civil Rights Act

@russianbot4418 Barry Goldwater the Senator from Arizona who was the Republican nominee for President in 1964 was against the Civil Rights Act. Read a book
4
@ColonelSandersLite you are the one who stated that the Democrats who voted against the Civil Rights Act were racist . Does not your own logic apply to Senator Goldwater who voted against the Act as well . While you are looking up what a strawman is look up cognitive dissonance too .
2
In 2018 RFK Jr. traveled to the American Samoa to convince the population of 200,000 to stop getting the measles vaccine. He was successful inoculation rates fell to 30% . In 2019 a massive measles outbreak occurred and 83 people died mostly babies .

@meekoosh it’s weird Trump been saying he’s two weeks away with coming up with a health plan for six straight years
1
@Mike-ez1bk weird that it’s beyond comprehension that the Vice President is the natural successor to run for President.
1
@Mike-ez1bk yes I have . Have you ever heard of the US Constitution? Can you point me in the direction of the passage that states that a presidential candidate needs to go thru a primary?
1
@jacksquat4140 Jack can you point me in the direction of the passage in the US Constitution that states political parties are required to field a candidate that went thru primaries?
1
@Mike-ez1bk Mike you are rationalizing . Societal norms? 😂 donOld Trump breaks every societal norm in existence. Kamala Harris is the Vice President maybe you didn’t pay attention in history class but the Vice President succeeding their predecessor is the norm and has happened many times in our history. Read a book
1
@Mike-ez1bk it’s you are* funny . Perhaps English classes too! Many Vice Presidents have succeeded their Presidents in history it’s in the books 📕
1
@loudharley6926 she’s going to divorce him over this and rightfully so
1
@loudharley6926 RFK Jr wrote a lengthy post on X 8 weeks ago outlining precisely how his political beliefs are diametrically opposed to donOld Trumps along with a lengthy screed as to how Trump was the worst president in history. Save the nonsense for the flat earth society meetings
1
@Nackdad I didn’t think Jimmy had any conservative fans
1
@davesprague1542 you’ve got all the tism’s. Do you have an extra #21 chromosome that causes you to see everything literally?
1
@ColonelSandersLite Barry Goldwater voted against the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and became the Republican nominee for president in 1964 . You let that sink in !
1
@davesprague1542 do you take everything so literally?
1
@rationalfemale5717 ahh the old “States Rights “ argument the same one made by the Confederacy in 1861 ? That States Rights Argument? “The principles of states’ rights advocated by Mr. Goldwater diminish us and would deny to Negro and white alike, many of the privileges and opportunities of living in American society” Martian Luther King, 9 October 1964.
1
@jeremiahfix5529 check in on Nov. 5th
1
@ColonelSandersLite you cited the Republican support of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and I pointed out that Republican Senator Barry Goldwater voted against it and went on to be the Republican Nominee for President. How is that a Strawman ? You might want to read up on the definition of a Strawman argument.
1
@ColonelSandersLite the Southern Democrats cited “States Rights “ as their reason to not vote for the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and so did Goldwater . While Goldwater was not an outright racist his support of “ States Rights “ gave comfort to those that were . Fighting for an African American to sit in the Senate Cafeteria is cute codification of equality on the federal level is real .
1
@russianbot4418 the context is clear and it’s how senators and congressmen voted on the Civil Rights Act of 1964 . Pointing out that the leading Republican Senator Barry Goldwater voted no on the Civil Rights Act of 1964 is out of context how?
1
@russianbot4418 Again it wasn’t just one Republican that voted against the 1964 Civil Rights Act . Again Senator Barry Goldwater wasn’t just 1 he was the leader of the Republican Party who went on to get the Nomination for president in 1964 in large part because of his no vote on the Civil Rights Act.
1
@ColonelSandersLite Barry Goldwater is the one who cited States Rights for the reasoning for his no vote on the Civil Rights Act. Strom Thurmond left the Democratic Party to be wholly embraced by Republicans for a reason .
1
@russianbot4418 cope harder! Who was the leading Republican Senator who voted no and went on to become the Republican presidential nominee? Republican Senator Barry Goldwater.
1
@danielmurphy4429 LBJ
1
@layinlow77 in 2018 RFK Jr. traveled to American Samoa to convince the population of 200,000 to stop getting the measles vaccine. He was successful inoculation rates fell to 30% . In 2019 a massive measles outbreak occurred and 83 people died mostly babies . So yeah democrats are furious with RFK Jr.
1
@youropionmattersnot Joe Biden received 90% of the African American vote in 2020
1
@ColonelSandersLite Jewish lineage passes through the mother and Barry Goldwater’s mother was not Jewish . I am using your logic you are the one that initially claimed that the Democrats who voted against the Civil Rights Act of 1964 were racist . I am just applying your logic to Goldwater’s no vote . You seem to a have fallen into some weird talking point that the Democrats were racist and the Republicans were not because of the vote totals on the Civil Rights Act of 1964 . I know the situation is nuanced and complicated. There is a reason 90% of the African American vote goes to Democrats. There is also a reason David Duke endorsed Trump .
1
@ColonelSandersLite “a bunch of racists voted for a Jewish guy” Colonel you might want to read a book Goldwater lost in one of the biggest landslides in history.
1
@ColonelSandersLite again your logic in characterizing the no votes on the Civil Rights Act of 1964 . I merely pointed out the leading Republican Goldwater also voted no . LBJ won in 1964 in a landslide. African Americans were not drawn to Goldwater he terrified them with his talk of “States Rights” because they knew exactly what that meant.
1
@Trollificusv2 that’s republican logic not mine . Just because some republicans supported the Civil Rights Act of 1964 does not mean what republicans think it means
1
@Trollificusv2 perhaps you should “read a book” then you’ll be able to understand what a Republican politicians means when they are calling for “States Rights”
1
@jbt8922 fact A:LBJ got millions of African American votes Fact B: Goldwater and his “States Rights” platform got barely any .
1
@gavinpruden3306 RFK Jr. is far from honest he’s a professional victim who points fingers rather than looking in the mirror and taking responsibility first his own actions .
1
@ColonelSandersLite if you actually read a book you’d know that lineage is passed down though the mother . You seem to know a lot about the numbers 14 and 88 . What a mystery?
1
@russianbot4418 so by your logic the democrats that voted with Barry Goldwater against the Civil Rights Bill should be detested but Barry is a saint ? Weird!
1
@ColonelSandersLite tell more about your fascination with the numbers 14 and 88 ? Did you learn this at some sort of meeting ? Have the tats ?
1
@russianbot4418 by your logic the democrats that voted against the bill were abhorrent but Goldwater was not ? Strange logic 👌
1
@gavinpruden3306 Jimmy spreads the same vaccine lies and lies about Covid that RFK Jr. does it’s completely irresponsible.
1
@gavinpruden3306 Jimmy has not been honest about Covid and Vaccines.
1
@gavinpruden3306 are you a doctor?
1
@jbt8922 in 2018 RFK Jr. traveled to American Samoa to convince the population to stop getting the measles vaccine. He was successful inoculation rates fell to 30% . In 2019 a massive outbreak of measles occurred 83 people died mostly babies. Jimmy Dore and RFK Jr. are not doctors they are carnival barkers
1
@gavinpruden3306 he’s not a doctor
1
@gavinpruden3306 Dr. Malone is deceptive he did not invent the vaccine. Dr. Malone claimed on Twitter an athlete Jake West had a cardiac arrest from the vaccine. Jake West died in 2014 making that claim impossible. I’ve gotten the Covid Vaccine 4 times and have never got it .
1
@rationalfemale5717 I don’t know what your other points are ? There was an election in 1964 Goldwater lost by a landslide and LBJ got the overwhelming plurality of African Americans votes for a reason . You are cherry picking one aspect of the Voting Rights Act and ignoring a boat loads of other aspects that don’t support your rhetoric.
1
@gavinpruden3306 Dr Malone did not invent the vaccine and he was removed from Twitter for spreading misinformation about the vaccine . I’ve been vaccinated 4 times and have never had Covid
1
@russianbot4418 you are saying something that has a some truth and just running with it gripping it for dear life yet you have blinders on to all the other factors involved in the signing the Civil Rights Act. It’s both disingenuous and lazy but hey you do you .
1
@gavinpruden3306 you are a qualified doctor and scientist! Low and behold I stand corrected!
1
@tintin1265 Lincoln signed the emancipation proclamation in 1863 freeing enslaved people in the confederate states . He had to suspend habeas corpus some people were not falling into line
1
@russianbot4418 perhaps English classes ? Learn about what cherry picking facts and ignoring all others means
1
@burtknighten4438 um Trump paid RFK Jr. handsomely for the endorsement he went to Harris first
1
@danielwalker1538 millions . RFK Jr.’s campaign went broke that’s the real reason he dropped out .
