You literally have no idea what you are even talking about . Once winds get above 45mph these fires are impossible to stop it would be like trying to stop a typhoon . All you can do is fight the fire around the edges and get people out which is exactly what happened. The fire department and city should be commended considering the size of these fires and relatively small loss of life .

@ you have no idea. Embers from this fire traveled a mile fire breaks would do absolutely nothing . When the wind is over 45mph the only thing fire fighters can do is fight the fires on the edges and ensure that people get out . Hydrants can only fight so many fires at once when thousands of structures are burning it’s like fighting a typhoon it’s just not possible . The fact the death toll is under 100 is indicative of the incredible job the fire department and city did in this disaster considering over 9000 structures burned.

@HyperionBadger nothing was removed genius . The day before the fire on Monday the Los Angeles County knew the winds were going to hit 100 mph . They staged 9000 firefighters in prone areas called in 100’s of off duty fire fighters . They did an excellent job considering the conditions. The only problem is that you have no idea what you are even talking about .

@ obviously you don’t understand that having 9000 structures burn in fire storm with less than 100 deaths is mitigating risk . Your lack of understanding was clearly demonstrated with your lack of comprehension that embers easily jump across fire breaks . It would be prohibitively expensive to clear all the under brush in fire prone areas of California. So when natural disasters happen in Republican areas of the country they are caused by democratic controlled weather machines and Jewish space lasers . If natural disasters happen in Democratic area then they were caused by DEI . Ok got it!
