  2. @ I don’t know about that Canadian crude is so sour with sulfer it can’t even be used for aircraft fuel . The real issue is that many of the Midwest refineries are set up to refine sour crude and exclusively get their oil piped in from Canada

  4. @ sour crude rich in sulfur isn’t needed it’s cheap but much harder to refine and can’t be used for aviation fuel

  6. @ it can be done by one or two refineries that are configured to actually do so . Nothing is nothing like using sweet crude oil . The sulfur laden oil cost more every step of the way .

  7. @ plenty of refineries are set up to turn heavy crude oil into jet fuel ? Off hand I can think of one in Indiana .
