@ Western European colonialism encompasses the tin mines and rubber plantations in Asia , the Plantations in India , the American and Caribbean plantations, the mines and plantations of Africa all over the course of 300+ years all done in the name of Christianity mind you. You are being told about Stalin and Mao because that’s what you want to hear. You are not told about Western European colonialism because you can’t see it. Trust me everyone else does .

Womens hands were smashed with hammers to prevent them from weaving cotton in order to corner the textile market. India was starved by the British by converting lands away from food production to cash crops . After a hundred years of servitude and exploitation the British expected the Indians to thank them for a colonial education and civilizing . After both world wars great debates happened between world powers with the US running pressure campaigns to get Western European powers to give up their colonies in which they doggedly refused to do so . To lecture about Asian history devoid of colonialism is a strategy not a mistake .

In 1955 300,000 Kenyans died in concentration camps at the hands of the British for the crime of wanting freedom and self rule for their own people .
