  2.  @jonathanp89  by October ‘41 the Germans were taking a 25% casualty rate at the hands of the Soviet Army which was simply unsustainable for the Wehrmacht. The Germans lost more men in the first two weeks of Barbarossa than the entire invasions of Western Europe , Norway and Greece combined. Of course many factors contributed to the German loss but it was the Soviets unrelenting will to fight that lost the Germans the War. Operation Typhoon to invade Moscow began in the Fall of ‘41 the Germans lost 50,000 elite troop hundreds of their best tanks and the Luftwaffe was shot to hell in the skies above Moscow. The Generals knew the War was not winnable at this point Stalin knew as well .
