@nelsono4315 Surveillance state doesn't pose direct problems to any common individual, but it creates collective problem against us all. It gives huge amount of power to deep state, and the amount of hell deep state has brought to the world is unmeasurable. I don't exactly know the level of knowledge for average person about these things as researching these things have been my main hobby for over 15 yrs or so when I figured out 9|| scam. That lead to years of spending many hours per day of collecting information and evidence, and connecting with other similar people. Privacy is essential for any democratic system. Linux certainly isn't the solution, but it's essential for getting there. Mobile phones are the main problem though, as those are pretty much the perfect devices for surveillance and collecting everything from your life, that can be used against you if you ever pose any problem for the rulers. And in many case it's not even about what you have done, it's about how that info can be manipulated and used against you. This comment is not suggesting you to dump your Adobe software etc. because the I get where you are coming from. Though you are either being blind on purpose or not using your brains if you think surveillance state isn't creating problems for you. For vast majority of us that comes undirectly though.

@AutumnWind92 @Vjotkr I also go out in the public, buying groceries etc. but I still would like some privacy with my wife when I'm home. Certainly I would rather use services that are not owned by Google, someone that actually respects our privacy. Ditching Youtube complete is not viable option yet, but I do use Odysee/LBRY and BitChute as much as possible. When I'm commenting on Youtube I can choose what and when I write. When I'm working on my computer I don't want anyone spying on me. Getting 100% privacy is impossible, but we should strive to get as much privacy as possible.
