Take on hobbies that are for intelligent people, and you should find Linux people and privacy oriented people. And better yet, force the people around you to become Linux and privacy loving people. Push it till they cut you off from their life or change. You either gain something great, or lose something worth losing. Unless we are talking about potential partners, then you should ask if they are hot enough and thus not worth losing.

@censoredterminalautism4073 My social life is dead, but then again most people I couldn't stand at all anyway. It's the curse of large brains. I want to make the world a better place, that's my first and foremost interest. Have researched conspiracies, secret societies, and pretty much everything related, for the past 15 yrs. Free as in freedom software is really important part of creating better future. Unless we just build massive EMP bombs and get rid of tech. So that's why I'm interested in Linux and FOSS. Though I have loved Linux even before realizing how important free(dom) software is. As I love full control, freedom, and optimization. And you certainly have those with Gentoo. It's on it's own league.

@censoredterminalautism4073 I care about making the world better, as that's the only motivation for existence really. Also it's insurance for the off change we come back here again. I have certain cloud of beliefs that are possible at certain probabilities, but "we die and that's it" is quite close to zero. Most people have been brainwashed to be the way they are. And we all being brainwashed to think people are bad, as that's exactly what the rulers want us to think. We are quite good actually. Tough situations, living in poverty etc. coupled with brainwashing will certainly make people monsters. And I certainly have had more shit done to me than anyone I know. Everyone I know say the same, they don't know anyone that have had things as bad. So I'm not living in bubble or being blind. But it's really too complex thing to debate here. But I encourage you to think more. Sure most people deserve to burn, but with other culture etc. most of them would have become good people. We are being controlled and brainwashed to hate each other. That's a fact, and nr 1 method of control.

That's BS, quite large amount of people use it. And it's irrelevant. You either care about your privacy and care about preventing horrible peer pressure creating effect of using shite like WhatsApp, or you don't. It's harsh truth, and I'm not trying to say it isn't hard at first. But the power of one determined individual is quite massive. My friend single handed forced his who organization to use Signal as he just said he isn't using anything that isn't privacy respecting. They left him hanging for a month, but then people started using Signal. First only couple people installed it so there would be communication, but in 6 months majority of the company used Signal. Though it was small company of 40-50 people.

@censoredterminalautism4073 I agree with you on principle on most things. Though we have some differences as well, I used to thought quite close to what you described, but slowly it changed to something else that in principle isn't that far. I want to make the world a better place by spreading truth and evidence to back up those truths. I speak everywhere to new people and find their level of knowledge and try to plant seeds based on their level. I think that even if it's useless, it might be the determining factor of where we end up after this life. I think sharing knowledge, trying to educate people (though not shitty ways, it easily goes to that) and trying to do whatever possible so that the better future could emerge, must be the correct thing to do.

@ChannelName991 You have amazing chance to educate them. Force them to watch Richard Stallman's lectures about free software, and say them if they don't care about privacy, then they certainly allow you to install spy software to their computer. I'm forever grateful for those friends that made me realize that free(dom) software is the way to go. And Linux is just better in pretty much every way, except not having as much software, but that doesn't make the OS itself worse.

@alpacamale2909 Post your number somewhere, and you'll have someone calling to you. I find it hard to believe that there are people who will not install Signal (or any privacy oriented communication software) that are really worth talking to. Though you need to make a good case of why you are like this. Linking couple of videos and sending to your WhatsApp friends is a good start.
