I was 6yrs old when Ghostbusters first was shown on TV. After that I build my own nuclear accelerator out of cardboard, had some thick hose on it and use the metal tube from the vacuum cleaner to make it feel really good actually. Only as an adult I realized how much that film fed my creativity and how some of those moments are completely etched into my memory like a film. Ghostbusters like so many other really great films had it's root about 9.11. (Die Hard trilogy, Back to The Future 1 & 2, Stanley Kubrick's career, Twin Peaks, Long Kiss Goodnight ... endless list) and Ghostbusters really quite literally explained about that ritual. I'm kind of amazed how that film was ever made, or was those films preprogramming or what. In any case it's one of those films that should be researched as it has lots of true knowledge in it, and lots of slightly modified knowledge that still serves a purpose.
