@The Critical Drinker We need your list of directors (in case if most films of that director should be watched) and films that you suggest people need to see. Perhaps quite fast, explaining only those films you want. For example pretty much all the clips you used in this video are from amazing films that everyone needs to see, and most already have. It doesn't matter if the list is filled with films that most have seen, as it gets some satisfaction to know that The Drinker is on the same wavelength than you. My brain filtering is so advanced that if there were crappy films used in this video, it's quite possible that I just didn't even process those. I'm really picky about films, I'll consume really really small amount of new films/TV, mostly watch the old ones again and again, trying to analyze them better every time as I mostly like about films that really are meant to be analyzed. The fact that The Drinker thus far have had pretty much 100% the same wavelength on everything I have would make me want to see that listing video so so much.

If Joel would have known Ellie would 100% be the solution, and the cure/prevention actually would have been open sourced, then I'm sure he would have allowed Ellie to be used. Now there's big chance that Ellie would be sacrificed for nothing, but even bigger issue is the fact that giving huge power to those shady Fireflies would have essentially made them dictators. At some point the plague is over and then it's much more level playing field for all. It's possible that the game doesn't even imply these things, but intent is only part of any piece of art.
