  1. I love that Linux and Free(dom) and open source youtubers help each others to gain more views. It might sound like it's giving up your trade secrets for free, but essentially you are just helping those youtubers that are serious, whose videos are better than average, and thus help the audience to find better Linux/FOSS content. And I would assume big portion of the subscribers of Linux/FOSS channels found out the channel through someone else, so helping to build the Linux/FOSS youtuber community raises the amount that people consume these videos. That helps to gain all those views that are "lost" and especially help to gain Patrons as people want to support those youtubers that support the whole community.
