  1. Debian should have never changed to using systemd. Getting just over 50% votes for something that changes so much should not be acceptable. For drastic changes there should be at least 2/3 or 3/4 voting majority. I personally feel that protest distros are really important. They add choice for users but most importantly they give the channel for the protest. Useless protest distros will die eventually, but when the protest is important and perhaps the majority was wrong all along, then that protest might allow for change to happen or at least allow it to happen faster.
