@jeetadityachatterjee6995 Finland, or at least Helsinki University, the place where Linus Torvalds wrote Linux and where 1.0 release conference was held.
Though I don't think that has anything to do with this, and I can't be sure how other sections of university works, but on CS, math, physics department we have this. Though I'm almost certain everyone gets their laptop because that allows University to drop all the computers from the university away and that saves huge amount of money.
Also it's a way to make sure everyone has working laptop and OS, which helpdesk can be effective on getting fixed, and that way it helps to gain much higher amount of people getting the degree. As our university is state sponsored, getting as many through it as possible is important.
But on the flip side we have one of the highest taxes in the world, if not the highest. Finland used to be great, but then we joined EU and Euro, and the globalist trashed Nokia and it's daughter companies on purpose and allowed China to rob those IPs and trade secrets for free.
