Governments are the worst entities even at the best countries, those are the last entities I would trust with anything.

@gghhkm Chance of having SoC that hasn't backdoor in the hardware level is pretty much between slim and none. But then again that's the reality of modern CPUs and BIOSes. I resisted smart phones till the summer of 2019, used my old 2004 Nokia up to that point. The reality is that I would have been much happier if I just would have resisted forever. Though even old phones allow tracking us and there's hardware level backdoors that allow the use of everything on that phone, even if it's switched off.

@barutaji I agree and disagree. As you are right, but still the governments are responsible for things that corporations have no power, even though they might be the source. Perhaps the worst are those agencies that do the dirty work for the deep state, as that kind of ensures that governments will always be corrupted. But these are all connected really.

@gghhkm If you can prove that the fabrication is 100% the same as the FOSS schematics and that FOSS schematics is 100% audited, then sure. Librem's hardware switches are great thing though. As of now there's so much evidence that privacy is made illegal in USA (or in the world would be more accurate) that I certainly don't believe that you could manufacture anything there without some party injecting their backdoors in. Cell phone tower pings track your location, texts and calls can be listened. Trying to hide your identification with mobile phones is nearly impossible and would require you to have many different phones, each with different contacts in them, that you also burn quite frequently. I kind of think using normal phones is security nightmare. All of your phones and texts can be saved and analyzed, and when I was in the military in the late 90s, one day they demonstrated how they had collected everything from that military base from just one small device. All the phone calls and texts saved. And that was done without any NDA, it was essentially public knowledge. And I'm from small country with public military.

@gghhkm Don't know what your comment meant, but I highly doubt it really makes a difference.

@gghhkm I'm from Finland, here rule of law means pretty much nothing. Though in general it doesn't mean shit in the EU as a whole. Though I like German people a lot. But you are also under immense brainwashing there when it comes to certain aspects. Though I feel like Germany really is the only hope for Europe. But my hope for Europe is pretty much gone. Still I fight and share truths till the day I die.
