@johnnylong6289 I don't it has anything to do with "average American " and more about judges having alliance with police, city etc. That's why so many cases get overturned once they no longer are decided by local judges.

.... and that's why all court cases need to be recorded and made public without editing. (If it's open to the public) Edit: Case dismissed? I bet there is a whole new story about government corruption in there.

@norarivkis2513 so this is for 5500 (11y) federal appeals cases for qualified immunity . Depending on the circuit court, they overturned between 16 % and 54% . ( institute for justice) .... and that was just where qualified immunity was initially granted. Plenty of other scenarios out there where bias can make a giant difference. And don't forget that qualified immunity itself was created by the courts and not lawmakers. There are some interesting stories out there how judges climbed the legal ladder. ( don't give example because I don't want to seem biased against one party)
