  1. ​@zag288 like you stated... the independent contractor. I used to drive for Uber until I noticed they changed incentives to figure out the least amount to pay driver while still having just enough show up. That was about 18 months ago. I stopped driving 16 months ago. It's your own fault if you can't figure out that you're not actually making any money.

  2. You are using the insurance of the driver. In Florida Uber insured the car while transporting a passenger but that's state specific. Uber isn't driving, they just connect driver and passenger. What insurance did the driver have?
