Grimmwoldds: I am german. It is true, that german regular troops ( together with semi- regular troops) killed a lot of people outside of Germany. But it is also true that during the 30 years war, in the Louis XlV and Napoleon era and in WWll millions of germans have been killed by foreign armies in germany. Now, how many people have been killed on US soil by foreign regular troops? The war of independence and the secession war do not count for being civil wars. There had been a short war with Great Britain in 1812. The Texas war does not count, because Texas/ Utah/ New Mexico/ Arizona and California had been regular mexican teritory. In 1898 as far as i know, no spanish troops reached US teritory. The 1916 Columbus town incident does not count, because this had not been regular mexican forces, but simply a bunch of criminal throatcutters. It is possible, that german warships (all kind of) reached US water teritory and sunk US ships in WWl. In WWll german and japanese warships reached US waters and sunk US ships. There was the japanese Pearl Harbor attack and japanese ballon bombs killed few people on US soil. But the US invaded Mexico in 1848, where Mexicans have been killed on mexican soil. In 1904 in the US occupied Philipines there was a revolt against US troops and the US troops killed a lot of phillipine people on philipine soil ( are not the US lovers of heroic freedom fighters?). During the 20s and 30s a lot of caribean and central american countries have been invaded by US troops and citizens of this countries have been killed on their own soil. In WWll hundredthousands of german and japanese citizens have been killed by US troops on german or japanese soil. After WWll thousands of vietnamese people have been killed on vietnamese soil by US forces. In Irak and Afghanistan many people have been killed by US troops on their own soil ( are not the US lovers of heroic freedom fighters?). The number of US citizens killed by foreign regular forces on US teritory is MUCH smaller than the number of non US citizens killed by regular US forces on non US soil. I hope you understand, why i do not like the US morality loudmouthery.
