@robertoogle2866 : The Netherlands had been a part of Holy Roman Empire of German Nation ,on paper' up to 1648. Both languages are similar , deutsch and dutch meaned once ,theodisc'- speaking the language of the ( germanic) people, in contrast to latin language of priests and bishops.

@josephpostma1787 : The current german state , Baden - Württemberg' is simply former Kingdom Württemberg , Great Duchy Baden and Hohenzollern. Note: Hohenzollern was the ,root castle' of Hohenzollern dynasty, the prussian branch became mighty, while the swabian branch, allways living arround Hohenzollern, became only unimportant princes. But in 1848 Hohenzollern principality became a province of Kingdom Prussia, but swabian branch is still alive.

@jeremybrandt5779 : After wwl this part of former Austria became a part of Czechoslowakia. In interwar era the number of germanspeaking persons in Czechoslowakia was higher than slovac population. Sidenote : As ,Böhmen'/ Bohemia current Czech Republic was part of HRE since 10th century.
