  1. There is a german movie from early 1930s , Stoßtrupp 1917 ( or 1918?)' . It is often called a Propaganda movie, but as an amateur historisn only, i think it is halfways accurate. A note: Two of the actors of the noted movie became after wwll very popular as ,typical bavarians'.
