@adrienrassat1965 : I am german, and i haven' t heared such nonsens out of the mouth of a non- Nazi. I, and many other oft my countymen have dark hair, You perhaps don't know, that in southern and western part of Germany, the old romano/ germanic border fortification ,Limes' is partly still visible, there had been Roman provinces Germania inferior, Germania superior and Rhaetia? You don' t know, that in 30years war ( 1618- 1648) many italian and spanish mercennarries suported Catholic side. In late 17th century for religious reasons, many french people moved to protestantic countries ( England, Netherlands, Germany, Switzerland).
Also, all Europeans ( exept Finns, Estonians, Hungarians, Basques and Turks) are Indo- Europeans, so basicly white. And also the non indoeuropean nations ( with exeptions of the Turks, belonging to mongolian family of peoples), are also white. So, why should members of romanic nations ( in Europe!) be coloured people

@WingedAsarath : The Anglosaxons came from those regions of Germany, where today Niederdeutsch is still spoken. In early 90s i worked in a small company in Southwest Germany, i , Brittas boyfriend, am Swabian. One day a new coworker from Niederdeutsch region came, and , just for fun, he spoke in Niederdeutsch to an english coworker. I remember one sentence: Und dann bin ik fallen in de kold Water. A turkish worker, who had never heared Niederdeutsch, thought, this was english, what the new coworker said.

@adrienrassat1965 : Omelette is known in german as ,Rührei', so you are clearly german :-). But now fun aside. The inhabitants of Alsace are, like me as a Swabian, members of Alemanic tribe, those few people of Lorraine, who still speak german, speak frankish dialect like people from Saarland or Rheinland - Pfalz, the French have stolen this regions from Germany. Also the german name for France is Frankreich ( realm of the Franks), the descendants of those Franken, which don' t möge to France are still alive in Saarland, Rheinland- Pfalz, Hessen, northern parts of Bayern and Baden - Württemberg, parts of Nordrhein- Westfalen. And those Franken, which moved to current France in merowingian/ carolingian age became there only upperclass, like Normans in England after 1066. The ordinary people in csrolingian France had been latinized/ romaniced celtics, while the ordinary people in England after 1066 had been Anglosaxon. So, those people in France who are ethnic frenchmen, are also today mostly romanic persons, but some of them have also germanic ancestry. Same with Italiens ( few germanic influence by Franks, Langobards, Goths and later Germans/ Austrian) and Spainiards ( some few influence by Goths and Suevi). So the members of romanic nations have a part oft germanic ancestry, as we Germans ( in Germany) also have a romanic and slavic part of ancestry.

@gambigambigambi : In german we call us germans , die Deutschen', with the word Germanen we mean either our ancestors in tribal age ( in my case the tribe oft Alemannen) or all persons from german ( including austrian and german swiss), english, dutch, flemmish, afrikaans, danish , swedish, norwegian, icelandic or Färöer islands language/ nation. Many people confuse german and germanic!

@adrienrassat1965 : Today in modern Europe the people are rather mixed. If you see an european person, you can only say, this could be a person from southern, northern, eastern or balkan part, not really more. I, Brittas boyfriend, don' t look like ,typical german' , there had been persons, which thought , i am French or from Georgien ( in caucasus mountains). We Europeans should be careful, that the age of wars between our nations has no ,Comeback'. To the many non european persons nowadays in Europe, i don' t know, if its good or not for the spirit of european life and culture, we can' t look to the future.

@GF-yh9tb : Before the Romans conquered current Spain and Portugal, there had been people of celtic and iberian ancestry, and of course the basques. In the battle of Cannae mercenaries of those people had been the center of Hannibals battle order, his cartagians had their Position at the flanks.
With the Romans ,roman' people and the Latin language came. But this ,Romans' could have been from all parts of Roman empire. For a short time also germanics, Western Goths and Suevi ( latin name of my tribe, i belong to the Swabians/ Schwaben in german). The germanic influence was short and not strong, but: Rodrigo for example is german Roderich, Hernan can be Hermann, Carlos is Karl, so some names have germanic roots. But what is with arabian influence, word relicts?

@crackula7958 : The European people are, witn exeption of Finns, Estonians, Basques , Hungarians, members of indoeurupean family of peoples. This means, parts of indian, afghan, persian and irakian persons also belong to ,white' population. What you describe for your person, has this reason.

@mikelastname1220 : Duchy Swabia ended in 1268, when the last Duke of Swabia , Konradin' ( also last male of Hohenstaufen dynasty) was executed in southern Italy, which for some decades was also ruled by Hohenstaufen dinasty. The Duchy Swabia included german part of Switzerland, Liechtenstein, austrian state Vorarlberg, bavarian district Swabia and middle and southern part of Baden- Württemberg. Currently in german part of Switzerland ,Swiss German' is spoken ( the lowland Swiss are better understandable than highland Swiss), the people in middle and southern part of Württemberg and northern part of bavarian district Swabia speak swabian ( but after belonging 200 years to Bavaria, you hear bavarian influence there. In middle and southern part of Baden, in southern part of bavarian district Swabia, also in Liechtenstein and austrian Vorarlberg, Alemannisch is spoken, it is a mix of Swabian and Swiss German, so easy understandable for both Swabians and Swiss Germans.

porus the great : In case of Elsass/Alsace you are complete right, in case of Lothringen/ Lorraine, the Situation is a bit different. When in 1740 emperor Karl Vl died, he had no son, and in Germany, both Empire and monarchial ruled part states, usually only a man could be ruler ( See also in 1839 , when Queen Viktoria of Great Brittain from Hannover dynasty, could rule Great Brittain and colonial empire, but no more german Kingdom Hannover, from where her family came). So the husband of Karl VI daughter Maria Theresia, the Duke of Lothringen, became new emperor, but french king Ludwig / Louis ( XV or XVI ?) could force the Duke of Lothringen to give him his country to be recognized as new emperor. Today Lothringen is nearly totaly french speaking ( according to a former coworker, who had relatives on french side of border), while in rural Elsass most people still speak german , when necessary. Their german has today a slight french sound, but as a swabian i can still understand my alemannic tribal brothers. Once Swabians, Alemannics and Swiss Germans had been the same tribe.
