As far as i know, in the 1860s the prussian navy ordered a number of british double action revolvers, also percussion and .36. This revolvers had been used into 1880s, when the ,Reichsrevolver ' M79 and M83 replaced all other pistols in german military ( smoothbore M 1850 prussian percussion pistol, about 15mm, bavarian Werder in 11,5 mm Werder and royal saxon M72 in 11 or 11,5 mm).

@herocommand : I am german and i have read this a longer time ago in a german arms/ weapons magazine. The main article was about the Colt revolvers described in Ian's video, only at the end it was written, that the prussian navy ordered few hundred british revolvers. When i remember right, the arms magazine wrote, it had been Adams revolvers, but i am NOT sure. The navy was the branch of german armed forces, which together with the Landsturm, elderly reserve soldiers, which was the last branch which got new weaopry.
