@genghiskhan6809 : My father told me, that the firewood thief had stolen wood from a number of neighbours. It was time of US occupation of my german homeregion after wwll. The man , who owned the blackpowder, had a rare licence. Coal and firewood was rare, so his job was , when trees had been cut, to use a blackpowder charge, that the roofpart of the tree jumps out of esrth and could also been used as firewood. This ended , when economic situation became better. And: The man , owning the blackpowder helped the other man to repair the oven.
